C.O.R.F.I.T. participates in Fitness Weekend in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria
Glen Cunningham and Boris Tchimev special invited guests for the Workshop/Convention presented at the RESIST fitness facility in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
I am pleased to report that we just recently returned from our–that is, C.O.R.F.I.T.’s –second trip to Bulgaria in October 2005. This time the visit included a stop in Stara Zagora where head of biomechanics Boris Tchimev and I were to present at a fitness workshop/convention in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
Organizer and Sponsor Antonya Shoselova and Glen Cunningham shake hands
The event was organized and sponsored by Antonya Shoselova, owner of the RESIST Fitness Facility. Also involved in the sponsoring of the event was Dr. Julian Karabiberov owner of J.K. Fitness.
The two-day event was attended by 50 invitees and a host of other interested parties and featured seminars from the C.O.R.F.I.T. certification science texts. Undoubtedly, the most popular of the lectures series was the two-hour nutrition seminar on the second day.

The workshop portion included tips on technique and pre-contest dieting by bodybuilding champions. As well, a posing segment was offered with notables from the Bulgarian bodybuilding and fitness communities.
This event was the first ever fitness symposium for Bulgaria and Ms. Shoselova worked tirelessly to ensure it was a huge success. The manifested attention-to-detail and thorough consideration for the presenters as well as the audience members ensured the absolute success of the weekend.
Dr. Julian Karibiberov receives award for outstanding contribution to the Fitness Sciences
The event was covered by the newspaper, radio and television news media and a full length video production of the event was also recorded. The extended professionalism was appreciated by all those involved.
Invited members of the presenting dias, including myself, were treated like royalty with outstanding accommodations, food and an inspiring level of friendliness and enthusiam. The audience members carried the day with a wonderful spirit that is the hallmark of the Bulgarian people. They asked questions, shared concepts and supported the efforts of the speakers with their own energy. It was a truly marvelous experience for both Boris and I. Furthermore, I was taken aback by the fact that I was made to feel welcome by everyone. To sum up my feelings in a few words, I would have to say that it was a "truly moving experience!"
