Rationale

The C.O.R.F.I.T. Masters Level Teaching Diploma places a strong emphasis on allowing the student to develop their teaching skills and provides the student with a framework of abilities to present workshops to academic communities.

The attainment of this certification fulfills the latter requirement of the C.O.R.F.I.T. Postgraduate program granting the graduate official status as a C.O.R.F.I.T. Masters Level Teacher.

Course Structure

The emphasis of this course is on teaching and practical skills as students will actively participate in the teaching of C.O.R.F.I.T. students that are present at a Level II Weight-Resistance Training Methodology course and partiake in a 20-session Field Experience.

  • Teaching
    • 2 Presentations on the Correct Biomechanics of a Weight-Resistance Exercise
    • 2 Presentations on joint articulation.
  • Field Experience
    • 20 Sessions of one-on-one Personal Training where a Performance Report will be provided by Fitness Center Management.
    • 2 Presentations on joint articulation.

Prerequisite

Student wishing to pursue a C.O.R.F.I.T. Advanced Biomechanical Analysis Certificate must have completed the C.O.R.F.I.T. Undergraduate Program consisting of the Scientific Principles of Weight-Resistance Training course, the C.O.R.F.I.T. Weight-Resistance Training Methodolgy course and the C.O.R.F.I.T. Performance Nutrition course. There are NO exceptions to this prerequisite. As well, student must have completed the C.O.R.F.I.T. Advanced Biomechanical Analysis course. There are NO exceptions to this prerequisite.
